Juventus and Torino will go head to head in the Turin Derby on Saturday with huge pressure mounting on Andrea Pirlo to improve his underperforming squad and have them return to winning ways as major title contenders once again. The Old Lady have not had the best of luck in the past couple of weeks and it is something the manager and the players will be looking to work on so they can end the season on a bright note.
Paulo Dybala, on the other hand, broke COVID protocols after he was caught attending a party two nights before the fixture. His absence would not sit well with Pirlo as well, given that the attacker only regained full match fitness after a couple of weeks struggling for form and consistency.
Midfielder Arthur was also present at the party but even though his attendance at the party would mean automatic disqualification to play the game, he is still nursing an injury and is ruled out anyway.
In defense, they also face major crises and will miss the presence of both Turkey international defender MerihDemiral and Italy’s center-back Leonardo Bonucci both of whom have tested positive for the coronavirus and must go into self-isolation.
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return after having a dramatic international break and could be partnered by Alvaro Morata in attack.
Here’s how Juve could line up;
Szczesny, Danilo, Chiellini, De Ligt, Cuadrado, Bentacur, Ramsey, Rabiot, Chiesa, Morata, Ronaldo.
