Swedish international Robin Olsen has left AS Roma in Italy to sign for Sheffield United who were relegated from the Premier League last season and are now in the English Championship. Olsen left Italy to join Sheffield United on loan with the option to buy on transfer deadline day for this summer.
Olsen, 31, has decided to drop into the English Championship, which is the equivalent of the Serie B in Italy for this season. AS Roma were happy to let him join the Blades on loan until June 2022 with summer signing Rui Patricio established as the undisputed first choice goalkeeper at the club under the new management led by Jose Mourinho. Patricio left Premier League team Wolverhampton Wanderers to join AS Roma earlier this summer.
